Snowshoe Trips

Travelling on snow shoes adds one more way to enjoy our winters in the Rockies and Purcells. The snow shoes hiking trips have less elevation gain than the summer hikes and we never travel into avalanche terrain. During an average day, we will travel about 10 kilometres and gain less than 300 metres of elevation.

The snow shoe trips require a minimum of 8 hikers and all trips are fully catered with nutritious meals and snacks. This winter, we are visiting Panorama Mountain Resort where we have rented an executive house near the golf course. The house has many comforts including a hot tub and 5 bathrooms.

On one day, we will use the chairlift to visit Goldie Lake and follow a mellow trail through the woods and untracked snow to the valley below. Because this trip visits Panorama and Goldie lake, I have called the trip The Pano Gold.
