This is a 7 day hiking trip with 6 days of hiking and takes place in the towns of Corvara and Cortina in The Dolomites of northern Italy.
The hiking will be on established trails making use of the local lifts where available. Our accommodation will be mostly in towns and there will be 2 nights at back country lodges with shared accommodations.
In Cortina, we are in the heart of the Dolomites and the location of the 1956 Winter Olympics. Our bed and breakfast is centrally located and we can walk to a variety of restaurants or pubs. While visiting the back country lodge, our luggage will be transported by van to the next town. This allows us to hike daily with our usual day pack. Enjoy the Tyrolean flavour with scenery and local culture in this much loved area of The Alps.

Known the world over, Chamonix is the center of the universe when one thinks about mountaineering. It is home to some of the highest peak in the Alps. On the outskirts of town is the Aiguille du Midi cable car which is the highest in Europe at 3842 meters. There is a tunnel under Mont Blanc built in 1965 that provide passage to northern Italy and the town of Courmayeur.
This is a 6 day and 7 night hiking trip to be enjoyed by moderately strong hikers. The lodging will be in the town of Chamonix in a house that sleeps 12 people. This house is a 5 minute walk from downtown. There is room for exactly 10 hikers. Our chef, Theresa Calow from Golden B. C. will be catering all the meals and we dine family style at the house. The house has impressive outdoor space with a deck area, hot tub, private garden and outdoor pool. Each room can be prepared as double or twin beds.
The longest hiking days is 6 hours and there is one day only 4 hours.
A commitment by December 1 of 500.00 per person is required. The cost is 2350.00 per hiker. Included is all accommodation, tram rides, shuttle van to and from the trail head, guiding and catering. Silvretta Alps, Switzerland
The Alps of Switzerland are know the world over to provide many grand hiking adventures and spectacular scenery. We will be hiking in an area east of Zurich and close to the borders of Austria and Liechtenstein. Many hikes will be an alpine circuit where we enjoy views on all aspects of the mountains. We will hike past alpine pastures, along sheer limestone walls and up to emerald green shores of local alpine lakes.
This is a 6 day and 7 night hiking trip. The lodging will be in the town of Klosters in a house that sleeps a maximum of 2 people per room. This house is centrally located that allows for evening shopping strolls or casual glass of wine. There is room for exactly 10 hikers. A local Swiss chef will be catering all the meals as we dine family style at the house. We will have some local favorite dishes including spaetzle and rosti.
The longest hiking day is 6 hours and there is one day only 4 hours. Your travel plans should include a flight to Zurich. Transit from Zurich to Klosters is convenient with train service directly from the airport to central Klosters where I will meet you and lead you to the door of our chalet.
